Village Walk

Tuesday 17th June
Meet 6.15pm for 6.30pm start
at Guides’ Hut, Honor Road

John Hampden Monument, Honor End Lane Prestwood

As part of Prestwood’s Big Week, PCA is organising a village walk on the evening of Tuesday 17th June.

The purpose is to get residents together for a convivial walk. Please bring dogs and children (perhaps not toddlers).

We shall walk through the northern side of Prestwood, to the John Hampden memorial on Honor End Lane (pictured). Our route should take around an hour and a half, taking in a number of points of local and environmental interest. The route is largely flat, with no rough terrain, but we would recommend stout boots or shoes.

We shall end the walk at the Chequers Tree pub.

For an extra point of interest, we shall provide walkers with a copy of an 1850 map of Prestwood, so we can get an idea of how our route would have looked 175 years ago!
