A Celebration of Prestwood
From Sunday June 15th to Sunday 22nd June, residents were invited to a series of events throughout the village. The concept was to organise a wide celebration of Prestwood, to broaden friendships and relationships, and to showcase what the village has to offer. The culmination, Prestwood Picnic, was a fun, low-cost day out for all village residents on the Common.
While PCA was the originator and catalyst, we were especially excited by the way in which other groups and organisations, residents and businesses joined in, helping publicise and/or organising their own activities, contributing to a successful raffle and allowing use of venues. We owe a debt of gratitude to everyone who helped make the week such a success. It was also a great help that the sun shone throughout!
PCA looks forward to discussing ideas with residents for next year’s event. For the Picnic, please put the weekend of 20th/21st June 2026 in the diary.
