This survey closes on Friday 3rd October. Link to Community Safety Survey
By law (The Crime and Disorder Act 1998), Police and local authorities must work together with partner organisations to form a Community Safety Partnership and develop a strategy to reduce crime within the local area.
The Safer Buckinghamshire Board is a local Community Safety Partnership that brings together experts from the police, fire service, probation, health and social care services. The board develops an annual action plan to reduce crime in Buckinghamshire and help keep it a safe place to live and
work.

To develop this plan, the Safer Buckinghamshire Board conducts an annual Community Safety survey to hear residents’ views on:
- The impact of crime, anti-social behaviour, drug and alcohol issues where you live or work
- How safe or unsafe you feel in Buckinghamshire
The survey is short (perhaps surprisingly so). We understand that the results are then combined with an analysis of crimes across the county to help set priorities for the year.
Safer Buckinghamshire Partnership Strategy 2023-26
The Community Safety Partnership’s overall strategy is reset every three years.
We are coming to the end of the current three-year strategy, in which the following priorities were set out:
- Neighbourhood Crime
- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Serious Violence
- Violence against Women and Girls
- Exploitation of Vulnerable People
Certain common themes that are applicable to any or all of the priorities were also set out, such as Drugs and Alcohol.
These priorities work alongside/contribute to the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Police & Crime plan 2024-2029.
