Prestwood resident Barbara Rowett has hit upon an imaginative way of supporting Prestwood Community Association (PCA).

Barbara is a talented artist, painting diverse subjects, in watercolour and acrylics, and mixed media.

Barbara approached PCA and The Pantry at 51 with a suggestion that she should exhibit her paintings, all available for sale, within The Pantry. PCA and Barbara also shared a table at Holy Trinity Church’s Autumn Fair on November 8th.

All proceeds from sales are being donated to PCA.

To date, £120 has been raised. This is approximately the annual cost of PCA’s group insurance. This is critical to enabling work such as the clear-up around Sheepwash Pond or installation of planters. So a big thank you to Barbara.

The Autumn Fair was also an opportunity for several useful conversations with residents and groups, including a number of ideas being thrown around for Prestwood Big Week 2026! All of this will help and inform PCA’s work.
