Mark Cunnane’s talk last year on a ‘Journey through Prestwood High Street’ will doubtless be vivid in the memory of most of the packed house in attendance. PCA is delighted that Mark is returning for a new Prestwood Big Week History Night.

Prestwood Big Week 2025 history talk at Prestwood Methodist Church

This year’s theme will be “Off the beaten Track”. Mark will be exploring a number of interesting stories around and about Prestwood, a number of which will cause audience members to say “I never knew that about Prestwood”. And for those familiar with most of the stories, it will be an interesting journey down Memory Lane.

As in 2025, the event will be held in the Methodist Church on Prestwood High Street, itself a notable part of Prestwood’s history.

Last year’s audience was close to the capacity of the venue, so it is necessary to make this a ticketed event. Tickets are still free, and can be collected from Thomas Tyrrell at his shop, 149 High Street.

PCA is very grateful to Thomas for his assistance, to Mark for his extensively researched talk, and to the Methodist Church for use of the venue.
