Are you Prestwood-based, community-oriented and keen for a new challenge for 2026?

Prestwood Community Association (PCA) has two exciting roles to fill:

Communications lead: Keeping the community informed is essential to PCA’s work. But getting our communications right will also help shape our direction. Up till now, PCA’s Committee has shared web, social media and communication duties. There is an exciting opportunity for someone to bring relevant skills and imagination to strategise messaging across multiple media, and tell our story.

Secretary: An efficient and committed Secretary is at the heart of everything. Only by having the backing of robust organisation and processes, can PCA push forward across multiple projects and work streams. The Secretary is therefore another key ‘shaping’ role.

Volunteers would be joining an already strong team, with a broad skills base, and good momentum.

Great credit is due to all who have served on the Committee, brought ideas, and volunteered or contributed in any way. It has been exciting also to work with other groups and organisations – this was always integral to the plan.

PCA recently shared on Facebook an album of 2025 events. A representative sample of images, covering a widely varied range of activities, seemed to strike a chord. The album clocked up around 3,200 views over the following week, some 1,400 viewers and more than 600 ‘engagements’.

But this is no time for resting on laurels. PCA is working on several fronts, including a survey of Prestwood’s residents and stakeholders, the second ‘Prestwood Big Week’, and developing a strategy for Sheepwash Pond.
